Leaving his cushy job at an exclusive prep school, an idealistic educator takes a position at Marion Barry High School, an inner-city institution so tough it has its own cemetery! There, his enthusiasm beguiles a beautiful school official, annoys the principal, and completely baffles the street-wise students. (official distributor synopsis)

High School High is definitely one of the more hilarious parodies poking fun at the school world in a humorous way. The film features a mostly good cast, from the howling and awkward Jon Lovitz, to the likeable Tia Carrere, to the demonic Louise Fletcher. A big plus is the fact (at least for me) that the film works on repeat viewings. It's true that some of the scenes feel mechanical, but even so, High School High entertains, which is the most important thing in a comedy. ()
