The film describes the general situation and conditions of the middle-aged intellectuals. The journalist employed in the factory, Alker Tamás is now a divorced man and his private life is quite a bit of a mess. In the lack of a flat for them to live, his love, Eszter, does not want to divorce her husband, and though Tamás could have an opportunity to rent a flat for two years, there is not enough money to do so. Thus the pursuit of the badly needed sum starts. He does not get any help from his work. Alker tries to get the money little by little, and turns to his friends for help. His ex-wife even sells her furniture; moreover, the cleaning lady at the company helps him, too. The flat warming party, however, ends in a row. Eszter changes her mind and she does not want to divorce after all. (official distributor synopsis)
