Der scheue Adam (Hugh Dancy) beschäftigt sich am liebsten mit den Geheimnissen des Universums. Auf der Erde wird er jedoch jeden Tag mit vielen Rätseln konfrontiert, denn er leidet am Asperger-Syndrom und kann die Emotionen und Handlungen seiner Mitmenschen nicht verstehen. Wie ein Meteorit schlägt da seine neue Nachbarin Beth (Rose Byrne) in sein Universum ein. Beth fasziniert ihn auf magische Weise und auch sie scheint seine Gefühle zu erwidern. When I thought about this film, it became clear that the girl pretty much sealed her own fate early on—it didn't take much. Adam is a story about two people who were meant to be together from start to finish, even if they didn’t fully realize it. It’s a sweet and charming romantic comedy with a fantastic performance from Hugh Dancy, who I hadn't really known before, and the always lovely Rose Byrne, who I’m sure I’ll be hearing a lot more about after this.
