I'm surprised no one has seen this yet. It's not a world-class series, but the three hours are very easy to get through in one go and it's not boring at all! We follow two disabled friends – one blind and the other with cerebral palsy – who are trying to become independent and head off on their own to Mexico City to pursue their dream of doing stand-up. The plot is sketched in a straightforward way, the humour is great and apt, there are constant jokes about blind people, disabled people, the "I didn't see that coming" joke is heard in various forms at least a hundred times, so satisfaction. But the biggest draw are the characters, who on the one hand you can't help but root for and on the other, there’s a good bunch of disabled people coming together and we often get into funny situations, and also the main character's father is awesome and his "secret checking" is brilliant and funny at the same time. All in all, an okay series that perhaps doesn’t have as much goofy banter and jokes as I would like (I could imagine a ton of extra fun) and at times focuses more on the characters and their development, which while certainly not a bad thing, I still would have liked more dry, awkward humor. Passable average. ()
