So had an issue with a keyboard I bought a few years ago. Amazon showed the keyboard as covered but when I called to make a claim they said it was for a paper shredder I bought in the same transaction. I explained no I bought this for the keyboard. They were able to go into the backend of the Amazon transaction and see I wasn’t telling the truth and some error was causing them to only see the shredder. They offered me a refund via gift card once I returned the item. They provided the shipping label and once it was dropped off 2 days later I had an email with my gift card. The process was fairly smooth and worth the cost.

I really liked that Asurion provided me my refund as soon as I told them the manufacturer sent me an e-mail indicating the product was out of warranty. I did not like that Asurion only covers the product once. I bought 4-year protection when all I needed was 3-year protection. I was 1000% certain the product would fail in less than 3 years. Also, Asurion did not reimburse me for the sales tax on the product. However, overall, I was pleased with Asurion. I got back a lot of my money for a product which failed TWICE in less than 2 years. The product was a Logitech wireless mouse.
