This study examined the deformation problem of a plate system (formed side-by-side) composed of multi-structure plates. It obtained numerical approaches of the transmission conditions on the common border of plates that composed the system. Numerical examples were solved in different boundary and transmission conditions.

The influence of interface conditions in static problems of soil-structure interaction is demonstrated using a simple thin layer element. Plates of infinite length resting on different supporting medium and subjected to various loadings have been analyzed to reflect such influence. The far domain of the elastic half-plane is modeled by threenodded infinite element, and the contact between the plate and the supporting medium has been simulated by incorporating thin-layer element. Comparisons are made with closed-form solutions, and with other models of the supporting medium, from such comparisons the versatility of the proposed thin-layer element and infinite is clearly achieved.

Calculation of three-layer plates by methods of vibration theoryA three-layer plate with thick hard outer layers and a thin soft inner layer was studied. A model is considered on the example of an anti-sandwich panel to describe the mechanical behavior of a plate on the example of a solar panel. A review of the scientific literature was conducted, in which models of both analytical and numerical methods for calculating three-layer plates are displayed. The scientific work uses the method of finite element analysis using a spatial shell element, as well as the theory of single- and multi-layer plates. These elements combine the topology of volumetric elements and the kinematic and structural equations of a classical shell element. Shell elements based on continuum mechanics were used for numerical simulation. The study was carried out under static load under different conditions, and also the self-oscillations of the anti-sandwich were analyzed using the theories of Kirchhoff and Reisner-Mindlin. Historical review of Zig-Zag theories for multilayered plates and shells2003 •
This paper gives a historical review of the theories that have been developed for the analysis of multilayered structures. Attention has been restricted to the so-called Zig-Zag theories, which describe a piecewise continuous displacement field in the plate thickness direction and fulfill interlaminar continuity of transverse stresses at each layer interface. Basically, plate and shell geometries are addressed, even though beams are also considered in some cases. Models in which the number of displacement variables is kept independent of the number of constitutive layers are discussed to the greatest extent. Attention has been restricted to those plate and shell theories which are based on the so-called method of hypotheses or axiomatic approach in which assumptions are introduced for displacements and/or transverse stresses.
