The provision of electricity to many rural areas has not been adequately addressed. The means to warm water can thus be a problem in such areas. An opportunity for a product to fulfil the water heating needs of the rural community exists. Current market products are not engineered well enough to provide realistic solutions to this problem. The modelling of an existing water heating product, using paraffin as the energy source, will allow for better understanding of how such products work. The model can then be used to optimise the current design or to redesign the product from scratch.

Nowadays, Energy is an essential requirement for daily activities. Indonesians use solar energy for various activities such as electricity, water heaters, and dryers. Solar collectors are devices that absorb solar energy and convert it into heat energy. Solar energy heats copper pipes and water passes through heat tubes induces an increase in water temperature. The increase in heating capacity in this experiment was carried out by adding paraffin (as thermal storage material) into a tube in a solar collector. Solar water heaters equipped with solar collectors (called cylindrical trough collectors) have been developed in this experiment. Paraffin placed in the copper tube with two conditions. They are called Collector A and Collector B. The effect of two conditions of placing paraffin in copper tubes on the water-out temperature has been studied in this experiment. The growing need for energy and the depletion of conventional fuel has forced the man kind to think in direction of non-conventional energy sources. One of the largest sources of non-conventional energy is Sun. The Principle objective of our project is to generate hot water by using solar energy for various applications like processing, Agricultural, Wood treatment, Petrochemical refining. In this system we are using 'Parabolic trough collector'. A parabolic trough solar collector uses an aluminium polishing plate in the shape of parabolic cylinder to reflect and concentrate sun radiations towards the copper pipe located at the focus line of their parabolic cylinder. The receiver absorbs the incoming radiations and transforms them into thermal energy. Later being transported and collected by a fluid medium circulating within the copper pipe. The designing and fabrication of parabolic trough solar water for heating of water was executed, the whole procedure employed includes design, construction and testing stages. The model which is made up of reflector surface, reflector support, copper pipe and a stand with manual arrangement using locally sourced material for rural applications.
The present invention provides " Domestic Water Heating System " that works on the waste material such as wood, coal, paper, waste leaves of trees, cattle cake etc. Just by using a little amount of waste material, ample water can be heated. The invented water heating system is portable, lighter in weight, time efficient and economical too. As the cost of system is less, it is well affordable by common people. The water heating system is more suitable for rural areas where air pollution is not a constraint.
