‘Alan Wake’ DLC “The Lake House” Coming Next Month [Trailer]

Published

Remedy and Epic are keeping their word. After releasing Alan Wake II last October, fans will be revisiting the game with its next DLC in “The Lake House” next month. The announcement was made during the Sony State of Play, and was accompanied by an appropriately creepy new trailer.

The new DLC is set in an eerie new location on the shores of Cauldron Lake within the Federal Bureau of Control’s research station known as the Lake House. A catastrophic event has occurred, where reckless experiments have caused reality to collide with the Dark Place. This expansion unfolds parallel to the main game, putting you in the shoes of FBC agent Kiran Estevez, portrayed by Janina Gavankar.

As with the previous DLC in Night Springs, The Lake House is available to all owners of the Deluxe Edition of Alan Wake II. You can purchase the Alan Wake II Deluxe Edition upgrade (which will include The Lake House DLC when it launches) on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via the Epic Games Store.

Dark Soulslike ‘Hell is Us’ Unleashes New Gameplay Trailer [Watch]

Rogue Factor and publisher Nacon continue to prep to unleash hell on earth with a new gameplay trailer for their upcoming open world Soulslike, Hell is Us. The latest gameplay trailer made its debut earlier during the Sony State of Play.

As the team has mentioned before, Hell is Us will have players following their instincts to progress on their journey. There will be no map, no compass, and no quest markers. “Instead, we invite you to dive directly into the game’s universe and rely on your own observation, reasoning, and intuition to progress,” says Rogue Factor’s Jonathan Jacques-Belletete via PlayStation Blog. “The environments are not there simply to decorate, they are there to communicate. Correspondingly, paying attention to what the NPCs tell you is crucial; as what they tell you is actual organic information about what to do and how to do it.”

Hell is Us centres on a country being torn apart by civil war. A mysterious event has taken place that sees the arrival of supernatural creatures that no modern weapon can defeat. Armed with a drone and sword, it’s up to you to battle these mysterious creatures and discover how they arrived in your time.

Originally scheduled for a 2023 release, Hell is Us is currently in development for release later this year for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
