Gurgthock is a goblin quest giver found in many different locations such as Nagrand, Zul'Drak, Freehold and more. He is accompanied by a jungle troll named Wodin the Troll-Servant.
History[]
The Burning Crusade[]
Gurgthock and Wodin make their first appearance at the Laughing Skull Ruins in Nagrand in Outland. The event is called the Ring of Blood.
Wrath of the Lich King[]
During the war against the Lich King, Gurgthock and Wodin make their next appearance in Zul'Drak in Northrend. Even surrounded by Scourge, Gurgthok settled in order to run his to-the-death gladiatorial games. The event was called the Amphitheater of Anguish, where Gurgthock was found riding on a tiny mammoth here. According to Muradin Bronzebeard, Gurgthok's blood sport isn't much different from the Drakkari's original purpose for the place, by the looks of it: a pit built for death as a sport.[1]
Cataclysm[]
Gurgthock and Wodin make their next appearance at the Twilight Highlands in the Eastern Kingdoms. The event is called the Crucible of Carnage. Gurgthock is also one of the possible helpers you can get in addition to your pack of druids when doing [35 Daily] The Protectors of Hyjal in Sethria's Roost in Mount Hyjal. When flying he rides a small Wyvern.
Mists of Pandaria[]
Gurgthock and Wodin make their next appearance at the Temple of the White Tiger in northwest Kun-Lai Summit in Pandaria. The event is called the Arena of Annihilation.
Warlords of Draenor[]
Gurgthock and Wodin made their next appearance in Nagrand in alternative-timeline Draenor. He managed to get a big stash and helps the adventurers get to the Ring of Blood event. Gurgthock also invited Taylor and his troops to participate in the arena.[2]
Battle for Azeroth[]
Gurgthock and Wodin were captured by the Irontide Raiders, a group of pirates based out of Freehold on Kul Tiras. At the Ring of Booty they were forced to hold another event against their will. When Gurgthock found out that one of the events of the Ring of Booty was to catch a greased up pig he wondered if it really was a professional setup.
Dragonflight[]
Gurgthock and Wodin can now be found promoting fights in the Field of Ferocity in Ohn'ahran Plains on Dragon Isles.
