EXPECTUNUSEDTEMPLATE magic word not needed when Template:subst only is present

[edit]

I'm curious about this edit and similar ones. That magic word is typically used to keep template pages off of the unused template report, but pages that have {{subst only}} or {{transclusionless}} in their documentation should never appear on the report. Were you motivated to add the magic words by the templates' appearance on a report? – Jonesey95 (talk) 17:52, 16 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I whined at phabricator about the dearth of documentation. There was some improvement but, such as it is, the documentation makes no mention of {{subst only}} or {{transclusionless}}. So, I added the magic word to those translator templates so that I will never need to defend their existence at some future WP:TFD.

Good article reassessment for USS Texas (BB-35)

[edit]

USS Texas (BB-35) has been nominated for a good article reassessment. If you are interested in the discussion, please participate by adding your comments to the reassessment page. If concerns are not addressed during the review period, the good article status may be removed from the article. Note: I have also requested MILHIST A-Class reappraisal. voorts (talk/contributions) 01:43, 25 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Advice please

[edit]

You came up on the list of Recently Active Admins. There is an IP user, 82.4.208.76 who has been repeatedly making misleading edits to a number of pages. Usually he/she reverses the edit a few hours later. It's mischievous and potentially mislead. But is it vandalism? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/82.4.208.76

Sorry, monitoring editor behaviour is not my area of expertise. You would do better to find an admin who does that sort of thing regularly.
