The R&A and global sports marketing agency Two Circles have agreed a new, expanded long-term relationship, working together to drive growth across ticketing, premium experiences and fan experience propositions at The Open ⛳️ The announcement follows a record-breaking number of spectators for The Open at Royal Troon in July with 258,174 fans lining the course to witness Xander Schauffele’s successful pursuit of the famous Claret Jug. As the world's top women golfers gather at St Andrews for the AIG Women’s Open, I reflect on AIG’s partnership with The R&A since 2019 and what we have accomplished so far.   Together with Martin Slumbers, CEO of The R&A, we have created a high quality experience and a high quality major Championship. Each year, we host the AIG Women’s Open at different premiere golf courses, and we continually build on our learnings to make each Championship bigger, better and its own unique experience.   At the AIG WO press conference, Martin reflected, “With AIG coming on board as sponsor and the outstanding backing we have received from Peter and his team, we have been able to achieve a step change and take this Championship to new levels. There are many metrics which we can use to measure this progress and I hope you would agree that the staging of the Championship, the player and fan experience, the enhancement of the spectator village and the addition of the Saturday evening concert have been significant steps forward. Prize money has also tripled in the time since we began our partnership with AIG in 2019.”   #AIGWO
