About this ebook

New York Times bestselling author Jill Shalvis returns to Sunrise Cove with a heartwarming story about the choices we make and the love we let into our lives...

Luna Wright is a lot of things, but sweet and trusting isn’t on the list. However, she’s a sucker for the underdog and a hard-luck story. Adopted at birth, with scant knowledge of her biological family, she’s created her own inner circle, a motley crew which includes her bestie Willow, to help her run the struggling but charming Apple Ridge Farm.

With a farm-to-table café as well as a menagerie of rescued animals (complete with a baby goat who keeps escaping to the pantry to eat the secret stash of decidedly not organic potato chips), it’s the best home she’s ever known. But when the owner Silas, who they secretly call The Grinch, passes away, Luna discovers the farm is now under control of his investment manager, the enigmatic Jameson Hayes….and her. And that Silas had many, many secrets.

Now Luna’s carefully controlled corner of the world is threatened and she—along with some help from her friends—has to dig deep to find true strength and the real meaning of love and family.

The Bright Spot was an entertaining and charming read. I loved the entire cast of characters as well as the setting for this one. The setting offered lots of charming and sweet and funny moments and I really enjoyed this one in large part due to this. It required a little suspension of disbelief around the balloon payment and Jameson not having easy access to means of paying it off. However, beyond that aspect, I absolutely adored this story and it's probably my favorite of the series so far!

Quirky characters abound at the Apple Ridge Farm. Jameson has no idea what he is in store for when he arrives. When I start a book by Jill Shalvis, I feel like I step into the story on the first page and don't want to leave when I get to the end. The book made me laugh so many times but continually tugs at my heart as I rooted for Jameson and Luna. This one is the perfect underdog story of the farm fighting the big bad investors. I enjoyed this story so much. This is a story I'll likely revisit

Luna, Luna, Luna...Her love and dedication are amazing traits. I wish more people could love like her. The way they work as a team, and poor Willow-I see me in her, haha-always thinking there is something lacking/missing/feeling overlooked. Silas hit me right in the heart. Don't let me get started on the goat, oh my. What would you do to save your world of family? Luna shows just that. Love, surprise discoveries, family, friends-you get it all in one book! My honest review of an ARC.
