I enjoyed it untell you get to the point where you have to pay to beet the higher levels. There's no way to grind unless you do the same thing everyday for a couple weeks. Update: 4 years later and it's even worse. Updates added more stuff to the store and what they call events, while the growth barrier is even harder.

Langrisser aims to provide a console-quality experience and is packed with hours of music, voiceover, and high-definition graphics. We are constantly working to minimize the space used by the game. I'm always sceptical about games like these, thinking they're pay to win once you reach a certain level. I'm happy to say that's not the case. the gameplay is fun and entertaining, the graphics look good, and all the detail in this shows just how much they cared about making this game. You can get gems pretty easily just by playing. The difficulty progression is a bit challenging, but fair. And the sheer amount of stuff to keep track of keeps you engaged. All in all, it is worth giving it a try.

I played for about a week then uninstalled. The storyline is pretty similar to the other Langrisser games. The gameplay isn't bad, but there is WAY too much "grinding" - for xp, for gold, for summoning material, for troop enhancements, for weapons, etc. You can spend real money for some of these, but even then it starts feeling repetitive fast.
