Vote.org Can Proceed in Suit Over Georgia Absentee Ballot Rule

Georgia election officials failed in their bid to end a lawsuit challenging the state’s absentee ballot request process brought by the country’s largest voter registration organization.

Vote.org had standing to sue state officials to invalidate a law that requires applicants for absentee ballots to sign the application with “pen and ink,” the US District Court for the Northern District of Georgia said.
