A fission battery is a miscellaneous item in Fallout: New Vegas.

Background[]

This section is transcluded from Fission battery. To change it, please edit the transcluded page.

Fission batteries are a pre-War portable power source, often found in robots and vehicles.[1][2] Throughout the Mojave Wasteland, fission batteries can be found in New Vegas streets, remote shacks in the wastes, and reoccupied suburban homes. Additionally, fission battery acid can be used in the distillation of certain alcohols.[3][4]

Uses[]

Locations[]

Notes[]

  • Numerous oversized fission batteries can be found hooked up to streetlights. These are apparently used to power their respective streetlights, and cannot be picked up or used for anything else, only as a component of appearance.
  • Another oversized battery can be seen in front of Doc Mitchell's house.
  • Many oversized batteries can be found attached to portable lamps in various locations, such as Vault 22. These cannot be taken and only serve as a cosmetic effect.

Marguerite: "There aren't too many ingredients, but I brew large batches, so we need a good bit of each. We'll need Punga Fruit, Yeast, and some Fission Batteries - for that extra little kick."
The Lone Wanderer: "Batteries? For extra "kick"?"
Marguerite: "You best keep this one to yourself, sweetie. The family tonic gets real kick from our secret ingredient. We just need a lil' bit of battery acid. Oh, don't look like that, now. You reckon I'd be around to tell you about it if it weren't safe enough? Bring me six fission batteries and I'll scrape 'em into the mix."
