ArbCom 2020 Elections voter message

Hello! Voting in the 2020 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 7 December 2020. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

Treason

Thank you for disputing my changes in a civil manner, and especially for not leaving a barrage of talk page templates as some editors tend to do. 73.71.251.64 (talk) 08:18, 30 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

RedWarn

Hi Noq, do you need any help getting RedWarn set up? If so, feel free to let me know. Ed talk! 19:08, 1 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Ed6767:. Hi Ed, yes please. I'm not seeing the toolbar and the setup has not run. Not sure if there is any conflict with something else. noq (talk) 19:46, 1 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Can you tell me what browser you're using and ensure you have JavaScript enabled? (make sure you allow sources from redwarn.toolforge.org enabled if you have cross-origin blocker) Ed talk! 19:48, 1 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Great, to access the first time setup please open More Options > RedWarn preferences > Scroll to the bottom and click "RESET REDWARN" and this should bring it up for you :) Ed talk! 19:54, 1 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Allowiing JS from the toolforge.org domain seems to have sorted it - thank you. noq (talk) 19:56, 1 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Any time, thanks for choosing RedWarn :) Ed talk! 19:59, 1 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Man on the Moon III

Hello,

I'm Lowryder71, and I come in peace. I was one of the users who helped create the page for Kid Cudi's upcoming album Man on the Moon III: The Chosen today, which was fully announced today by the artist and also had its release date, cover, and tracklist drop as well, and is scheduled to be released this Friday. I am here because I noticed that you deleted the page due to it not meeting the site's notability guidelines for albums. I would like to add that Man on the Moon III has been a highly anticipated project from Cudi for a long time, specifically for around the last 10 years, and Cudi had first announced the project's existence going back to around 2013. If it's OK for me to ask you this question, why and how did the album's page not meet such guidelines? I would like to know so that when I create pages for albums or music in the future, I can do so in a way that meets all guidelines and is up to standard with a typical page on the site.

Thanks, and I look forward to getting back to you. Let's work together on this! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Lowryder71 (talkcontribs) 22:07, 7 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Please read WP:NALBUM. It was not deleted but redirected to the artist as recommended there for any album that does not show it meets the guidelines. The article did not contain any independent WP:reliable sources showing WP:significant coverage as required by the WP:General notability guidelines. If you cannot find any references that meet those guidelines then the album is not eligible for an article. noq (talk) 22:15, 7 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

New Page Patrol December Newsletter

Hello Noq,

A chart of the 2020 New Page Patrol Queue

Year in review

It has been a productive year for New Page Patrol as we've roughly cut the size of the New Page Patrol queue in half this year. We have been fortunate to have a lot of great work done by Rosguill who was the reviewer of the most pages and redirects this past year. Thanks and credit go to JTtheOG and Onel5969 who join Rosguill in repeating in the top 10 from last year. Thanks to John B123, Hughesdarren, and Mccapra who all got the NPR permission this year and joined the top 10. Also new to the top ten is DannyS712 bot III, programmed by DannyS712 which has helped to dramatically reduce the number of redirects that have needed human patrolling by patrolling certain types of redirects (e.g. for differences in accents) and by also patrolling editors who are on on the redirect whitelist.

Reviewer of the Year

John B123 has been named reviewer of the year for 2020. John has held the permission for just over 6 months and in that time has helped cut into the queue by reviewing more than 18,000 articles. His talk page shows his efforts to communicate with users, upholding NPP's goal of nurturing new users and quality over quantity.

NPP Technical Achievement Award

As a special recognition and thank you DannyS712 has been awarded the first NPP Technical Achievement Award. His work programming the bot has helped us patrol redirects tremendously - more than 60,000 redirects this past year. This has been a large contribution to New Page Patrol and definitely is worthy of recognition.

Please guide me If i am wrong i will be delighted Hardcore Legend Mic Foley (talk) 13:22, 11 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Hardcore Legend Mic Foley:Your assertion that "he looks better" does not make it appropriate. There is nothing wrong with the older image. You need to get a WP:consensus on the article talk page to change it to the younger one. The current one is a better representation on him. noq (talk) 13:26, 11 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

U are Senior Editor Noq If u will allow Me then there wont be Much difficulty also did we need consensus for even installing Image of Subject ??? In many pages we have pics of subject from 20 years back Why cant we have photo of Bit younger Wasim ☺️☺️☺️ ??? Please have a consensus with me Sir and allow me to upload his younger photo of 2010 in infobox. Hardcore Legend Mic Foley (talk) 13:36, 11 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Pause the Speedy deletion of page titled 'Khushali Kumar' & the Talk section

Hi Noq,

Wanted to understand why has the page 'Khushali Kumar' and even the 'Talk' page for the same marked for speedy deletion? We would like to resolve any impending issues and rectify the old ones and restart the page for the entity mentioned earlier. We have credible and reliable links to support the artist.
