Sic transit gloria mundi ... my brush with fame

I have a sense of humorDo you?

What am I interested in? For starters, here's a tiny sampling:

  • Phil Ochs, always first and foremost
  • The Beatles, especially Lennon, but ok, Macca too; BeeGees (all of 'em); Cat Stevens, Moody Blues, the Eagles, Carly Simon, and many others — even some who are under age 50
  • Marshall McLuhan (one of the most brilliant people I've ever known) - and other famous people I know (and no, I'm not going to give you their email addresses)
  • the Amish
  • the Bronx and a variety of denizens of it, especially
  • the Cape and London
  • lights of the 60s like Murray the K and other cultural and political figures and events of the day, plus a few from today
  • tv shows and movies from all eras, like Rome, ST:TNG , Witness , and Once - to name just a few
  • online services that I frequented in the 80s and 90s, for old-times sake
  • a variety of presidential candidates and other political types, although I'm beginning to wonder why - oh, yes, it's for the fame and fortune, that's right.

lots more

I also enjoy creating articles for miscellaneous subjects that I had no particular prior interest in, or knowledge of, like Col Joye and Harrison J. Goldin - and editing others - for the pure fun of it. And I do my share of vandal-reverting, because people who destroy other people's work really piss me off.

I recently have been accused of being on the staffs of Barack Obama, Hillary Rodham Clinton, John Edwards, and Chuck Schumer. And now I'm apparently a Republican. I will be retiring to the Cayman Islands shortly with the riches I'm gathering through my Wikipedia editing of political pages. Don't forget to write.

This user loathes, but is forced to observe, daylight saving time.

This has led to some marital discord, but he's wrong, of course.

And finally... thank you, Ross from Brisbane and the unflappable B.

For good humour and excellence in editing, I present this barnstar to the multitalented and admirably coherent Tvoz. Rossrs 06:26, 1 December 2006 (UTC)

The Defender of the Wiki Barnstar
Making a Washington Post story for your vandalism reverting skillz is worthy of a barnstar.[1] Congratulations! B 02:33, 18 September 2007 (UTC)

That is all, for now.

I am "she".This user belongs to a Wikipedia minority, sometimes described as "the 20%", but I'm beginning to think that there are more of us than that.
