Rowetta (born circa 1966 in Manchester, England) is a British singer.

She released two singles with the Vanilla Sound Corp in 1987, before then releasing "Stop This Thing" in 1988, whilst appearing as a backing singer on numerous songs.

In 1989 she put her solo career on hold as she joined the Happy Mondays as a permanent backing singer. After the Happy Mondays break up, she did not return to the music business immediately, although she did play herself in the film 24 Hour Party People. She entered the series 1 of The X Factor in the UK. Although eliminated, the exposure got her a record deal, and her first solo album Rowetta was released in October 2005 on Gut Records.
