English: Purple lines on a map indicate the location of historic roads within the landscape boundary. Thomas Farm. The farm was located at a transportation junction at the intersection of the road that would become the Georgetown Pike and a ferry across the Monocacy River. The ferry was abandoned when the river was bridged, and the B&O Railroad also become another aspect of this junction. The farm landscape stills bears traces of the alignment of these road systems.
