Deutsch: Der Bär im Wappen der Gemeinde Auswil verweist auf das Kloster St. Gallen, das schon um das Jahr 800 in der Gegend über Grundbesitz verfügte. Die fünf Sterne symbolisieren die fünf Örtlichkeiten, aus denen sich die Gemeinde zusammensetzt. Es sind dies die Weiler Aerbolligen, Hermandingen, Oberauswil, Unterauswil und Betzlisberg (Rohrbachberg). |
