Darth Jar Jar was a Sith Lord introduced in Robot Chicken: Star Wars Episode III as an alternate version of Jar Jar Binks where he is responsible for the fall of the Republic and the rise of Emperor Palpatine.
He was voiced by Ahmed Best, who reprises his original role as Jar Jar Binks in the Star Wars prequel trilogy.
Biography
Darth Jar Jar acted as the fool, and as someone who could be easily manipulated while he in turn manipulated Palpatine and other figures in the Republic to start the Clone Wars. At the conclusion of the Battle of Endor, as Palpatine plummeted towards the reactor core, he realized that he had been wrong and needed to apologize for all the wrong he had done in his life. As part of that, Palpatine called up Jar Jar to apologize for manipulating him into calling for Chancellor Palpatine to be granted emergency powers. Darth Jar Jar sarcastically forgives Palpatine without him knowing and then started laughing as he pulled his Sith robe up over his head.
Trivia
- This scene references a popular internet theory that Jar Jar Binks was actually a disguised Sith Lord who was working with Palpatine to take over the galaxy or even manipulating Palpatine himself, and that Jar Jar only played the fool to divert suspicion away from him.
