Detective Conan: Hyaku-man (1 million) Dollar no Michishirube, the 27th anime movie in the Detective Conan/Case Closed franchise, has received a 30-second promotional video that teases a confrontation between Kaito Kid and Heiji Hattori.
Detective Conan: Hyaku-man Dollar no Michishirube will premiere in Japan on April 12, 2024. The existence of a 27th Detective Conan movie was announced in September of this year, while the new film’s subtitle and teaser visual were revealed the day before.
Hyaku-man Dollar no Michishirube will take place in Hokkaido’s Hakodate, with the plot involving a katana that conceals a “‘truth'” and a “decisive” scramble for a treasure.
The Detective Conan manga, titled Case Closed by Viz Media, began serialization in Shogakukan’s Weekly Shonen Sunday in 1994 and has 104 tankoubon volumes as of October 2023. The TV anime began broadcasting in 1996, while the first anime film was released in 1997.
Last year’s Detective Conan: Kurogane no Submarine became the franchise’s top-grossing film, ranking 18th on Japan’s box office chart.
