Zeman also co-starred on “The Bay” — which streams on Peacock — playing Sofia Madison.
“The special episode titled ‘Sofia’ will be a celebration of both the Sofia character and Jackie Zeman’s life, with several special guest stars that meant something to Jackie’s legacy,” says showrunner and head writer Gregori J. Martin.

Two-time Supporting Actor winner Billy Miller ("The Young and the Restless") will win his first award in the lead race at the Daytime Emmys according to our predictors, who currently give him 4/11 odds. In fact, only one man has ever won at a younger age. -Break- Follow Gold Derby on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Tumblr! Darnell Williams was 30 when he won Best Actor for "All My Children" in 1985. He's followed by Robert S. Woods ("One Life to Live"), who was 35 when he won his first and only award in 1983. Anthony Geary ("General Hospital") was also 35 when he won his first Best Actor prize, in 1982; he would go on to win a record seven Emmys in the category, most recently in 2012 at age 65. "All My Children" star Julia Barr is reprising the role of Brooke English for the soap's online revival and is revealing new details about the show's rebirth.
However, the big question -- who was shot at the end of the ABC finale that aired in September 2011 -- will have to wait. "I’m sorry, I'm not at liberty to discuss what happened, but it’s actually a great opening script that lets you know a certain amount of things that happened and who they happened to," Barr told TVLine.
Look for "All My Children" to pick up five years after the ABC finale. "It’s really good. It’s approximately five years in the future as far as [the show] wanting to age some of the kids. Of course, the adults did not age, and I’m so glad," she said.

In a sign that the newly-revived web soap has never been more culturally relevant, "All My Children" has made a "Harlem Shake" video.
The "All My Children" cast recorded the "Harlem Shake" video on February 25 to celebrate their first day back on the set of the resurrected soap, which returns for a new online season on Hulu and iTunes this spring.
"AMC" stars Stars Julia Barr (Brooke English), Jill Larson (Opal Cortland), Darnell Williams (Jesse Morgan) and Debbi Morgan (Dr. Angela Hubbard) -- as well as other members of the cast and crew -- are featured in the video sporting masks, sunglasses, cowboy hats and feather boas.
One member of the "All My Children" cast who is conspicuously absent from the video is Susan Lucci, who told "The View" last week that she would still like to return to the soap, although she currently does not have a deal to return.

I really enjoyed this past week’s River City. First of all, I have to admit that Robbie and Will are growing on me as a couple. No, you won’t see me going all fangirl on them, but I like them much more than I used to. I also think that the pairing has really suited Robbie as a character and has helped to ground and mature what used to be a really flighty and sometimes annoying character. He still can be flighty and annoying, but his relationship with Will has fleshed the character out and softened his more bothersome traits.
I continue to love that River City has this gay couple in lead stories that usually isn’t about them being gay. Yes, Will’s father disapproves of his son's relationship with Robbie, but their lives and stories are much bigger than...

Three decades ago, Anthony Geary won his first Daytime Emmy for playing Luke Spencer on "General Hospital. Since then, he has racked up another five wins (1999, 2000, 2004, 2006, 2008) and is tied with Erika Slezak and Justin Deas for the most victories at six each. All of our Experts expect him to break that tie this year as he claims a record seventh Best Actor award. So strong is the support for Geary, that he has odds of just 8 to 13 to prevail again on his 14th nomination. In second place is Darnell Williams, who won this award with his only previous bid in 1985 for his role as Jesse Hubbard on "All My Children." He had previously claimed the supporting Daytime Emmy in 1983 as part of the first African American supercouple on daytime TV. His character came back from the dead in 2008, remaining on the ABC sudser till it left the air last fall.

Lucci Tears Up On The View's All My Children Tribute
Veteran actress Susan Lucci fought back tears during a taped TV special on Thursday as she was reunited with castmembers from her cancelled soap opera All My Children during a special tribute.
TV executives announced earlier this year that the beloved show would come to an end this month after 41 years on air as part of a cost-cutting initiative.
Lucci, who portrayed Erica Kane on the series since its launch in 1970, co-hosted Friday's The View, which was dedicated to All My Children, and she took a trip down memory lane as she was joined by former co-stars, including Cameron Mathison, Rebecca Budig and Thorsten Kaye.
But Lucci was already struggling to keep her composure at the start of the programme, which was taped on Thursday, because for 30 years, the soap was filmed in the same New York studio The View now occupies.
Welling up on camera, she said, "First of all thank you so, so much for this special tribute... It's just incredible. Thank you for the celebration of a wonderful show... It's an emotional time; it's a very happy time. So much to be grateful for. But coming back here today was so very touching to me."
The show also brought together one of All My Children's most famous couples, Greg Nelson and Jenny Gardner, played by Lawrence Lau and Kim Delaney. Delaney's character Jenny died in a tragic jet ski accident in a 1980s storyline.
Vincent Irizarry, Alicia Minshew, Darnell Williams and Debbie Morgan also took part in the reunion.
The All My Children series finale aired in the U.S. on Friday.

"All My Children" airs its final episode Friday after 41 years on ABC. The series was one of the most successful in daytime Emmy history. It racked up a staggering 30 nominations for Best Drama Series, winning in 1992, 1994 and 1998. "AMC" will be eligible to contend at next summer's awards. The cast of “AMC” has won a record 28 Emmys. Just before the launch of the Daytime Emmys, Mary Fickett was recognized at the 1973 Primetime Emmys for her performance as Ruth Martin. Susan Lucci lost 18 Best Actress bids before finally prevailing in 1999. She was nominated again in 2001 and 2002 for a record total of 21 nominations. Her losing streak drew viewers to the Daytime Emmys; once she won, the ratings for this kudocast began their downward spiral. Darnell Williams won both the supporting (1983) and lead (1985) awards as Jesse Hubbard, one-half of the first African-American super couple on daytime TV. As Angie ...

These are bittersweet times for Debbi Morgan. The groundbreaking actress — daytime's first black female superstar — is once again riding high on All My Children in the sudsiest of plots. Her character, Angie Hubbard, stopped taking crucial medication and allowed herself to go blind when she discovered she was pregnant, only to deliver a stillborn baby. Angie has no idea her child died because her hubby, Jesse (Darnell Williams), pulled a switch and gave her an abandoned newborn. Meanwhile, the baby's real mother has been working as a housemaid in Pine Valley. This emotional time bomb has helped make Morgan a front runner in the best actress race for Sunday's Daytime Emmys. Fabulous, right? But then there's that damn cancellation. TV Guide Magazine spoke with the divinely dimpled diva about her shot at a second Emmy, the end of AMC and that report that said she's moving to a Sony soap!

Seems like yesterday when I would rush home from school eager to see the latest episode of my favorite soap opera General Hospital. Then, soap operas were apart of your daily television diet. However, with the onslaught of new cable stations and the increasing usage of the internet, soap operas have been steadily losing viewers. Now, the popular soap All My Children may be on the chopping block.
In recent weeks, AMC delivered record low Nielsen ratinngs coming in last in the key demographic of women 18–49. It was seen by 463,000 viewers in that demo, down 34 percent compared to last year. The series also came in last in total viewers, grabbing 2.32 million.
The show, which premiered 41 years ago, has been a launching ground for many stars including Sarah Michelle Gellar, Amanda Seyfried and Kelly Ripa. Recent Oscar-winner Melissa Leo also had a brief stint on the soap. Debbie Morgan and Darnell Williams became practically household favorites.
