The Shadow Riders, (The Seven-Star Assassins; セブンスターズ刺客 Sebensutārzu Shikaku in the Japanese version), are a fictional group of villains in the anime series Yu-Gi-Oh! GX (Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters GX in Japan). They intend to obtain the Sacred Beast Cards (Legendary Demon Cards).

Kagemaru

Kagemaru (影丸) - The leader of the Shadow Riders. He was formerly the chairman of Duel Academy. Kagemaru hoped to attain eternal youth by sacrificing duel monster spirits to the Sacred Beasts, whom he used in his duel against Jaden Yuki (Judai Yuki). To do so, he enlisted the aid of his Shadow Riders, who pitted themselves against Duel Academy's finest to create the strong dueling presence needed to revive his Sacred Beasts.

Deck

Kagemaru's deck is based on the three Sacred Beasts. He carries a basic fiend deck to support Raviel, and plenty of Spell/Trap cards to support Hamon and Uria.

Nightshroud

Atticus Rhodes (Fubuki Tenjouin), a.k.a. Nightshroud (Darkness)

Nightshroud (Darkness (ダークネス Dākunesu) in the original version) - The first of Shadow Riders to challenge Jaden. The loser of the particular Shadow Game set by Nightshroud would have his soul sealed in a card. He wore a dark dragon mask and used a dragon deck that revolved on Red Eyes Black Dragon. When defeated, Nightshroud's soul (represented by the mask) was sealed in the card, and Atticus Rhodes (Fubuki Tenjouin), who had been possessed by the dark personality, was freed.

Deck

Nightshroud's deck revolved around Red-Eyes Black Dragon and its support cards. He uses exclusively Dragon Sub-Type monsters though the true aim of Nightshroud's deck, however, is to summon Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon. Nightshroud has little beyond the sheer power his deck provides, however, as he uses hardly any Trap Cards, and his Spells are meant only to support his monsters.

She captures the souls of her opponents following their losses within dolls to fuel her cause, and uses her Shadow Item to bet the souls of others in conjunction with the Shadow Game-exclusive "Illusion Gate," itself based on The Gates of Hell, to ensure victory. She managed to obtained the keys of Crowler and Zane, but during her duel with Jaden, her item's power was negated by the completed Shadow Item Jaden possesed. Out of self-confidence, Camula placed her soul on the line, and it was dragged into the Gate after she lost, leaving her mortal form in dust and her necklace is left behind. Her name is a reference to Joseph Sheridan le Fanu's novel, Carmilla.
