The .50 caliber is a type of ammunition in Fallout 4.

Characteristics[]

.50 caliber is a high performance centerfire rifle cartridge manufactured by Circle G ammunition. They are advertised as being manufactured to the highest tolerance for discerning shooters. Before the Great War, these rounds were sold in boxes of ten cartridges. The box states that the bullets are 290 grain, boat tail hollow points.

Locations[]

  • Big John's Salvage - An individual round can be found on a metal shelf just below the large container fort.
  • Diamond City - Two individual rounds can be found on separate tables upstairs at the Cooke residence.
  • Forest Grove marsh - A box of three rounds can be found inside a shattered display case in the gun shop.
  • Hester's Consumer Robotics - An individual round can be found in an alleyway across the street from the building where Dando is holed up.
  • Monsignor Plaza - A box of 12 rounds can be found on a shelf inside the gun shop. Another individual round can be found in a shattered display case in the same shop.
  • Echo Lake Lumber Far Harbor (add-on) - A box of seven rounds can be found in a locked display case in the store adjoining the lobster roll stand.
  • The Parlor Nuka-World (add-on) - A box of seven rounds can be found on a wall shelf in the sleeping quarters on the left side of the main hall when entering from the lobby.
  • It may sometimes be found on dead raiders and in ammo boxes in varying quantities.

Notes[]

The .50 caliber round is the only ammo type in the game that does not have any weapon chambered for it in their default state. All weapons that are capable of firing the round are conversions of other smaller caliber weapons.
