Summary

Description

A genealogy tree for the Mayan languages, based on an earlier tree by Maunus. An SVG version of this chart is available at Image:Mayan Language Tree.svg. However, the Wikipedia SVG interpreter enlarges the words, so this PNG version is preferrable. A slightly different French version of the Maya language tree is available at Image:Tree of maya languages.svg.

Also, a map showing the present location and population for each language can be found at Image:Mayan Language Map.png. This map uses the colour-codes on this tree.
