- moulin Watson (Watson's Mill en anglais) est une meunerie et un moulin à farine historique situé à , Ontario, Canada. Il s’agit du seul musée exerçant des activités commerciales dans la région d’Ottawa et l’une des très rares meuneries industrielles toujours en exploitation en Amérique du Nord. En effet, Moulin Watson vend toujours de la farine de blé entier moulu sur pierre qui est fabriquée sur place. Le moulin est aussi réputé pour son récit de fantôme. Selon la légende, Ann Currier, femme de Joseph, hante le moulin depuis sa mort lors d’un accident tragique ici en 1861. Moulin Watson est le bâtiment le mieux connu de Manotick. Son image est utilisée comme symbole du village. Moss Kent Dickinson et fondèrent le moulin sous le nom de Long Island Milling Enterprise en 1860. C’était l’un d’une série de moulins construits dans la région qui utilisait l’énergie hydraulique du canal Rideau. Il obtint son nom actuel lorsqu’il fut acheté par Harry Watson en 1946. Watson fut le dernier propriétaire à exploiter le moulin à une échelle industrielle. Lorsque l’Office de protection de la vallée Rideau acheta le moulin en 1972, il fut aménagé en musée. Le moulin est ouvert au public durant les mois d’été et on y organise une foule d’activités, dont des démonstrations de mouture du grain tous les dimanches. (fr)

It is the only working museum in the Ottawa area and one of the very few operating industrial grist mills in North America. Watson's Mill still sells stone-ground whole wheat flour which is made on site. The mill is also well known for its ghost Annabelle. The legend is that Ann Currier, wife of Joseph, haunts the mill, following her death in a tragic accident there in 1861. Watson's Mill is Manotick's most recognized landmark. Its image is used as a symbol for the village. Moss Kent Dickinson and Joseph Merrill Currier founded the mill as the Long Island Milling Enterprise in 1860. It was one of a series of mills constructed in the area using power from the Rideau Canal. It earned its current name when it was purchased by Harry Watson in 1946. Watson was the last owner to operate the mill at an industrial level. When the Rideau Valley Conservation Authority bought the mill in 1972, it was developed into a museum. The mill is open to the public during the summer months and hosts a variety of events, including milling demonstrations every Sunday. (en)
