SIPIL

1863–1934

SIPIL (Zapel Asatur), born Zapel Khanjian in Constantinople, famous Armenian poetess, public figure, pedagogue. She was one of the founders of the “Azganuer hayuheats ynkerutiun”, a society that set up and operated girls schools in Armenian provinces of the Ottoman Empire.
